June's Stampers With An Attitude Blog Hop

WELCOME to our 2nd Blog Hop.
"Stamper's with an Attitude" are having a little
Fun in the Sun  this go 'round.
If you came from Pamela O'Conner's Blog,
you are on the right track.

 My favorite time of year is summer.
Can't wait to play in the outdoors with family & friends
this year. Have a few things planned for our family group
a little later in the month.
So, I wanted to make this Flag Booklet I saw
a while back. It will be an addition to other mini albums
 I have made in the past. Plus, I am using up a lot
of my retired CTMH papers while mixing & mingling
with Newer Stamp Sets.  I'll eventually
make 5 of these for the family to have and take home.
(That Should help take care of  1 of the many goals I have
in using up older papers and product in my stash.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(I have seen this Flag Booklet at the Scrapbook Showgram
done by Sandi Genovese a few different ways.)
My Flag Book is a take-off from a Christmas one she did
a few years ago. I could not find the link to to her video
She has another one posted that is similar
to her Christmas one. Click HERE to watch it.
Thankfully, I had done a smaller one and wrote down
most of the tidbits as I worked on it last year.
I have added the list of our Blog Hop at the end of this post
for your convenience in-case you get lost along the way.
Flag Booklet
This is the finished Booklet. You see I have used April's
Stamp of the Month set here on the front.
Along with the Bohemian Stamp Set.
On the inside cover, I used the June Stamp of the Month.
(I love mixing the new with the old)
I Heavily Ink Distressed my book and the flags.
Not sure this picture details the FLAG of this booklet for you.
You see the flags at the bottom and top crisscross with
the flags in the center when you open it up.
The flags will have pictures and journaling added after
our family event for this summer.
There is enough room to add 18 photos without journaling
on the flags. I have enough room to journal
on the inside front and back if I choose to.
You can see more of this booklet with
base instruction in my
"Scrapbook Layouts" Tab
Here, you can see that I heat embossed the sun and
the word summer. I first inked with the Twilight Ink and
then added gold embossing powder to the word summer.
I applied foam tape to the sun and the center
to give more dimension. The word fun was
stamped on the front base and stamped again
on an extra piece of cardstock. I proceeded to
fussy cut the letters out and added foam tap.  Then
applied the letters so that it gave a shadow effect on top of the
original stamped word.
I have entered this booklet into the
Heart 2 Heart~Tool Time
Paper Playtime~#12 Anything Goes
&
The Outlawz Challenge~Jazzy June Color Challenge
I hope you enjoy this Flag Booklet.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. Cat, Becky, & Jen, I did put the basic instructions for making the Accordion Fold using 12x12 paper on my Scrapbook Layouts Tab at the top of my blog. I found out out you have to be a member of her Gold Club to see the original video. But the booklet one she featured last week is similar to this. Hope the basic instructions help.
Thanks everyone for all the crafty love. Mary, I promise it wasn't complicated. I just needed figure out where to score once I decided on the size of my booklet. I have put some base instructions under my Scrapbook layout tab (near the top of my blog). I used two sheets of 12x12 to make the outer cover base. Very simple. Don't forget to check out the video I linked in my post. Hopefully they still have it up. Thanks again for stopping by. I'll be visiting you all after this weekend to see what exciting things you share on your blog.
What a great mini album! You definitely met the Tool Time challenge, that's for sure! I'm sure it will be just as fun filling it with photos and journaling as it was to create it!
