A Bucket List......

Yes, my bucket list that I am sharing with you. Not something I would normally do (share with everyone).  We all have wishes and desires to do or have something that we would like to achieve before we are called to a better place. I know I have many dreams that I hope to cross off my bucket list as time flies by. (I am not going anytime soon...Still fighting the Lupus and just living day by day.)
I have crossed a few off the list...but as I was discussing dreams, failures, hopes, and successes with a dear friend, I have decided to share my bucket list. I am thinking my sharing will push me to achieve some of them and validate that it is possible to still dream at my age. (not that old yet....Just Older...as the Bon Jovi song plays in the back ground.) Here it goes...these are not in any order.

 1) Finish College
 2) A large room to host scrapbooking events in my home that will seat at least 12 to 14 people
 3) Every winter live in different Tropical areas for 1 month
 4) Meet my birth parents
 5) Have a weekend fundraiser that raises at least $100,000 to go toward research for Lupus
 6) Own a successful B & B that hosts Scrapbooking and Crafting
      events all year long
 7) Take my entire family on a 5-7 day cruise for Summer Vacation
 8) See the 7 wonders of the world
 9) Have a week long Crop Cruise with my Cropcation friends
10) Have 40 acres of land (with my B&B) to share the beauty of nature.
11) 31 day train trip around America (time to rest in between sight seeing)
12) Learn to Scuba Dive
13) Learn to Tap Dance
14) Go to Disney World for 14 days with my family and 3 other families (Kerlins, Randels, & Montgomerys') that are close to me (I might have the strength to make it to all the sights)
15) Win the Lottery to be able to do most of the above....LOL!!!!
16) RV for 1 month through the west to see the Grand Canyon and other areas.
17) Go to Australia for 2 weeks
18) Write a book
I will probably go back and add more things to my list...At the moment this is all I can think of.
Have you thought of your bucket list? Are you working on achieving those items? Now that I have listed some of my wishes and dreams..I guess I will need to make a plan to accomplish these.
Well it's late, Got to get some sleep. Getting ready for my craft fair in a few days. Soon As I complete that I'll share the items I have made as of late.
In the mean time...Have a wonderful and exciting Crafty weekend.

Boo Banner

"BOO"
BANNER
For the Boo Banner I used the Mischief Level 2 paper pack from CTMH.

Fun papers for Halloween or any fall craft uses.
I have a fall wreath to show after I finish
another wreath hopefully in a few days.

Hope You Enjoy.

The banner Triangles are from CTMH
The Spiders are cut from Doodle Charms Cricut Cartridge.
The Letters are Pre Cut Chip Board from Hobby Lobby.
(I have had those for awhile and needed to use them up.)

The lettering strip is cut from the zip tabs off the papers used in Mischief paper pack. I matted them onto 2 larger pcs. of paper and slightly crinkled then added to the banner with pop dots.
The spiders are cut at 2.5" in the main cut and the white background is cut in shadow at 2.5". I swiped the wht. with sunset and orange ink. The ribbon they are hanging from is glued to the back between the white and a seperate spider head
cut from the Doodle Charms Cart.
The Orange back ground paper already has some spooky printing on them. The first triangle did not have as much print on the paper, so I added a stamped spider web and spider images. The ghosts are a stamped image I cut out and put
Silver Glitter Glitz Gel onto.
I also added Clear Glitter Glitz Gel to the center of the Chip Board Letters
First time I have entered more than one challenge. This may be the only time I get to for a little while....Life will be extra busy over the next month.
Thanks you for taking time to stop by and hope you have a moment to browse around and become a follower. The closer I get to 100 followers...I will announce a "100" follower give away.
Let me know what you think of the banner.
Have a wonderful Halloween week and
may you craft 'til your heart is content.

The Present.....

The future, the past, the present....What a time to look back, look forward, and just live in today. I did a layout for my daughter and a few special friends in her life. They are at the time of life when each is taking on a new journey to their own lives. Here, on one of their get togethers they realize that seeing each other will be few and far between for some of them. They also realized that thier pasts are memories to look back on in the future but , today they must live life and cherish each moment they have.
I entered this layout in 2 challenges.
The Color Room's TCR #80 Challenge and The October Quote Challenge.
I used all CTMH products except the buttons, they were from Hobby Lobby. I even used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cart. I kept it simple and used one of my favorite Quotes to finish the page.

Thank you for stopping by and feel free to leave som crafty love comment below. Enjoy reading all you have to say.

Life without the internet....

Can you say trouble, disappointment, frustration....
Well I experienced what nearly a week without Internet can do to ones temperament with the Internet providers we have available to us.  I have to say, they really tried to help. But, when you can not get connected to your business, customers, friends, and family, not having the Internet in this day and age is most upsetting to all involved. Now that I am back on the air waves I am seeing how much we all rely on the convenience of the Internet. I must say for larger businesses in our area it has been a disaster in all aspects.

I am working on new projects and I have a list of items in the Challenge tab above if you are interested. There are only 3 for this week. Being Internet disabled has it's limitations when we are talking timing. Hope to be able to post finished projects over the weekend.

In the mean time....take a moment to sit back and enjoy life around you. We all have hectic schedules, demanding jobs, responsibilities to many others. But, you owe it to your self to recharge your battery. Even if you only take 30 min., let that 30 min. be something for you. Go get a special latte, sit in a park and just look at nature, window shop, or even do a quick craft that's for you. Relax, take it slow for just a moment, you'll be surprised at how your mood is uplifted and you have a little bit of an inner peace that you can share with others through that smile.

Sneeky Peeky Project #1 with Cricut Art Philosophy

As I have been working with the Cricut Art Philosophy (Snowflakes), I entered a color challenge over at The color RoomOctober 8th-14th----- The Color Room
New Color pallet #79 - Just click the above  link to check them out.

The picture does not do this layout justice. I may try to retake later and see what I can do. Lighting today in the room is not working and could not get a close up of just the 12x12 layout with out cutting off important areas. Practice makes perfect. In the mean time.....
Got to get other projects done and help my youngest daughter find her title to her car....She totaled her car last week and is saying good by to her first car she bought herself.
TEARS of sadness for her Golden Stallion...I'll have to do a farewell layout when she gets me the pics. She is fine and we are thankful for seat belts and insurance. (wreck was not any fault of hers.) One reason why I do not let people go through 4 or 6 lanes of traffic....you can not always see what is coming in that far lane.
She has been a very good driver and it was very scary getting that call not knowing how bad or if she was truly OK!  Thank you to many for prayers and concerns. Guess you can say my week was very hectic.
Onto my oldest daughter and this layout....

CTMH Products & Tools used unless otherwise stated.
CS. Dutch Blue, Grey Flannel, Daisy White
B&T's 1 sheet of the scripted Grey Flannel with snowflake design from Wonderland Level 2 Paper pack
1 sheet of Tan scripted B&T from Notebook l Level 2 Paper pack
Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and Heart Shaped stamp from the bundled stamp set, Ink Pad & Markers-Dutch Blue, Gypsy, Grey Flannel, Grey Wool
Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel, Liquid Glass, Sponge Daubers
Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint, Creative Memories Corner Rounder
If interested in purchasing any of the CTMH items listed, let me know.
The technique above with the reversed snow flakes was done by taking the negative (the hollowed cut out) and sponge daubing the ink on the inside edges of the flake. Here I used two colors-CTMH's Gypsy & Dutch Blue.
I also did random areas on the Dutch Blue 12x12 Base in Gypsy and Grey Wool. The distressed edging is the Pearl Paint i swiped on with an old paint brush. The white cs has a grid on it by using the Glitz Gel.
The large snowflake is 2 layers of papers. 1st is the Grey Flannel cs, 2nd & Center is Grey B&T Script w/Snowflakes. Snowflake cut from Cricut Art Philosophy in reg cut and layer cut.
After adhering the layer to base, used Liquid Glass around the very edge, let dry for a few hours, came back and sponge daubed the blue ink over entire flake. The liquid glass resists the ink and leaves it clear to see the script underneath. Added the center piece with script side facing up after daubing a light coat of gypsy ink and edging it. Added Glitter Glitz Gel to the small tip openings.

Used Glitter Glitz Gel to some of the extra centers and place randomly on the layout.

Used the Art Philosophy Cricut bundle stamp set to stamp the heart
and pop dotted randomly on the page & stamped the image in a few areas on the layout. Wrote Sub-title and Title in 3 layered colors using the matching colors with the CTMH markers.

Thank you for stopping by. Would love to hear your comments. I truly enjoy reading what you think and what you liked best. I can even handle what you don't care for too.
Crafty comments are much appreciated...leave your blog site and I will be sure to come visit.

Whew! What a few weeks we have had. I am back now. Life was really hectic and we all know family comes first. Enough with that, I want to Scrap-LOL!!!.
Got several posts to put up today and tomorrow. I hope you get to truly enjoy them. On the Roxie layout- I will post a page in the Scrapbook L.O. Tab above for the supplies used and measurements.
This Layout is probably very close to being one of my favorites for this fall. (I think the papers are awesome!) I only used a portion of the papers and embellishments that came with the Roxie Workshop on the Go and I have plenty left over to continue my layout further or do a 3-D paper project with. Oh Boy!!....Decisions, Decisions!!!! I started this layout at the stamp camp from a few weekends ago.  I thought I'd finished (thinking I knew what pics I'd use, well, jokes on me-LOL!!!)
Items used for Layout
When I got my pictures out I realized very quickly they weren't what I was going to use after all. As I hummed  (the group staring at me all the while thinking i was nutso-LOL!) and thumbed through photos of family, I realized the perfect sets were of my oldest. A few pictures I have been able to get of her over the last few years plus some odd and ends of younger years(She doesn't like to take pics any longer-unless it's her idea).

Taking a walk-about & Information on Cricut Art Philosophy videos

Was in need of much deserved rest this week..
Had a wonderful time at my "Oh My Scraps" Crop Club
this past Sat. Great group of women.
And now gearing up for our Unit's Stamp Camp this coming weekend.
Been playing at the Color Combo site with a group of ladies there too.
Can't wait for the new challenge to reveal so I can see
what colors and what the inspiration and challenge is.
Lost my MoJo of creativeness this past week (explains the needed rest).
Hopefully during stamp camp I can retrieve my crafty MoJo
and have more projects done and ready to post when I return on Sunday.
Wish me and my MoJo the best of Crafty Spirits...LOL!

Using up Scraps of Paper.

Here's my first set of projects I told you I would post this week. I am determined
to use what I have in my paper scraps. I am also increasing my craftiness into cards. As you all know, I am not much on making cards. But guess what, I made 10 cards this afternoon. I think they are OK. Would love to get tips and opinions from my fellow crafters. I used all scraps including for the bases of the cards.
I did not make envelopes. Not ready to tackle that yet. I did line the store bought envelopes with matching paper or stamped inside the flap to coordinate with the card. I am thinking by doing this, it gives the cards a more finished look. Hope these pics do them justice.  There will be three or four posts over the labor day weekend. Told you I have been a crafty buzzer this week..LOL. have a wonderful labor day weekend and hope you get to have fun times with family and friends and get to be crafty as well as scrapbook those memories. Thanks for stopping by. Happily Scrapbooking My Memories~S`andra V.

Birthday Blog Giveaway---Just a few more hours to enter.

Just a reminder, A few more hours away before the Birthday Blog Giveaway ends. I can't wait to see who wins the Close To My Heart Blog SURPRISE Candy and the Thirty-One Tote. YES!!! $25.00 in Close To My Heart Products and a wonderful Tote to hold all your scrap tools in or what ever your little heart desires.
I'm on the edge of my seat for my very first give away.
Thank You goes out to all my wonderful followers who helped spread the news. Big Thanks to those who are new to my blog. I truly hope my art work will inspire you to be creative, try new things, and have fun. But, most of all, I hope I can inspire and encourage you to celebrate your special relationships through preserving the many memories with pictures, through journal, and crafting art work to pass along to the next generation. I am always surprised by the many pictures we all have from the generations before us that we don't know who they are, what the occasion was, which side of the family these people are from. And yes, there are many of us who will not know this information because key family members are no longer around.
It makes me sad when I go through some pictures and hate that I do not know important dates or names of family members in these pictures that are from long ago. If your not already keeping some form of family history, take a small step and scrapbook a page, or journal a note in a journal book and post the picture with it. Writing on photographs are not recommended due to the deterioration after time passes. Preserving your memories does not have to be expensive or fancy. After I am finished with the Birthday Blog and my craft projects later this week, I'll share with you my first few years of  preserving my memories. You will laugh at some and others you'll remember, before all these little and big crafting tools came about, there was a way to create and enjoy those wonderful memories. Enough of that and off to entering the giveaway.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO HAVE JOINED ALONG IN THE BIRTHDAY BLOG!!!
