Boo Banner

"BOO"
BANNER
For the Boo Banner I used the Mischief Level 2 paper pack from CTMH.

Fun papers for Halloween or any fall craft uses.
I have a fall wreath to show after I finish
another wreath hopefully in a few days.

Hope You Enjoy.

The banner Triangles are from CTMH
The Spiders are cut from Doodle Charms Cricut Cartridge.
The Letters are Pre Cut Chip Board from Hobby Lobby.
(I have had those for awhile and needed to use them up.)

The lettering strip is cut from the zip tabs off the papers used in Mischief paper pack. I matted them onto 2 larger pcs. of paper and slightly crinkled then added to the banner with pop dots.
The spiders are cut at 2.5" in the main cut and the white background is cut in shadow at 2.5". I swiped the wht. with sunset and orange ink. The ribbon they are hanging from is glued to the back between the white and a seperate spider head
cut from the Doodle Charms Cart.
The Orange back ground paper already has some spooky printing on them. The first triangle did not have as much print on the paper, so I added a stamped spider web and spider images. The ghosts are a stamped image I cut out and put
Silver Glitter Glitz Gel onto.
I also added Clear Glitter Glitz Gel to the center of the Chip Board Letters
First time I have entered more than one challenge. This may be the only time I get to for a little while....Life will be extra busy over the next month.
Thanks you for taking time to stop by and hope you have a moment to browse around and become a follower. The closer I get to 100 followers...I will announce a "100" follower give away.
Let me know what you think of the banner.
Have a wonderful Halloween week and
may you craft 'til your heart is content.

The Present.....

The future, the past, the present....What a time to look back, look forward, and just live in today. I did a layout for my daughter and a few special friends in her life. They are at the time of life when each is taking on a new journey to their own lives. Here, on one of their get togethers they realize that seeing each other will be few and far between for some of them. They also realized that thier pasts are memories to look back on in the future but , today they must live life and cherish each moment they have.
I entered this layout in 2 challenges.
The Color Room's TCR #80 Challenge and The October Quote Challenge.
I used all CTMH products except the buttons, they were from Hobby Lobby. I even used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cart. I kept it simple and used one of my favorite Quotes to finish the page.

Thank you for stopping by and feel free to leave som crafty love comment below. Enjoy reading all you have to say.

Bring your artwork to life....

Those who are interested in the CTMH Cricut Art Philosphy bundle,
Now's the time to host a gathering at your home or
on-line with a few friends so you can get it as a 1/2 off item.
Can't beat that. The bundle comes with the following:
1-cartridge w/ 700 images (valued at $69.)
that includes fonts, shapes, and 3-D items
3-My Acrylix D size Stamps Sets (valued at $53.85)
3-9x12 Dimensional Elements (valued at $14.85)
(3 sheets of different chip board shapes)
The stamps and the chip board coordinate with the
Cricut. The stamp sets give you the size of the cuts needed
to fit that particular stamp onto.
Pretty cool, takes all the guess work out.
Numerous My Acrylix® stamp images in our Idea Book pair wonderfully with images on our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. When you see the Cricut icon or a stamp image outlined in red in the Idea Book, you will know there’s a matching shape on your Art Philosophy cartridge. Cut out the coordinating shape with your Cricut machine using the setting indicated on the stamp’s carrier sheet, then stamp your image on the base shape—quick and easy!

Bring your artwork to life with stamps and chipboard Dimensional Elements!

When you purchase the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge,** you’ll also receive
three exclusive D-size stamp sets and three sets of Dimensional Elements
designed to perfectly coordinate with images on the cartridge.
That’s a retail value of over $120 US / $140 CAN for just for $99/$109.95!
Stamp on your Cricut shapes; cover your Dimensional Elements
with a Cricut shape; or cut, stamp, and then cover!

Life without the internet....

Can you say trouble, disappointment, frustration....
Well I experienced what nearly a week without Internet can do to ones temperament with the Internet providers we have available to us.  I have to say, they really tried to help. But, when you can not get connected to your business, customers, friends, and family, not having the Internet in this day and age is most upsetting to all involved. Now that I am back on the air waves I am seeing how much we all rely on the convenience of the Internet. I must say for larger businesses in our area it has been a disaster in all aspects.

I am working on new projects and I have a list of items in the Challenge tab above if you are interested. There are only 3 for this week. Being Internet disabled has it's limitations when we are talking timing. Hope to be able to post finished projects over the weekend.

In the mean time....take a moment to sit back and enjoy life around you. We all have hectic schedules, demanding jobs, responsibilities to many others. But, you owe it to your self to recharge your battery. Even if you only take 30 min., let that 30 min. be something for you. Go get a special latte, sit in a park and just look at nature, window shop, or even do a quick craft that's for you. Relax, take it slow for just a moment, you'll be surprised at how your mood is uplifted and you have a little bit of an inner peace that you can share with others through that smile.

Sneeky Peeky Project #1 with Cricut Art Philosophy

As I have been working with the Cricut Art Philosophy (Snowflakes), I entered a color challenge over at The color RoomOctober 8th-14th----- The Color Room
New Color pallet #79 - Just click the above  link to check them out.

The picture does not do this layout justice. I may try to retake later and see what I can do. Lighting today in the room is not working and could not get a close up of just the 12x12 layout with out cutting off important areas. Practice makes perfect. In the mean time.....
Got to get other projects done and help my youngest daughter find her title to her car....She totaled her car last week and is saying good by to her first car she bought herself.
TEARS of sadness for her Golden Stallion...I'll have to do a farewell layout when she gets me the pics. She is fine and we are thankful for seat belts and insurance. (wreck was not any fault of hers.) One reason why I do not let people go through 4 or 6 lanes of traffic....you can not always see what is coming in that far lane.
She has been a very good driver and it was very scary getting that call not knowing how bad or if she was truly OK!  Thank you to many for prayers and concerns. Guess you can say my week was very hectic.
Onto my oldest daughter and this layout....

CTMH Products & Tools used unless otherwise stated.
CS. Dutch Blue, Grey Flannel, Daisy White
B&T's 1 sheet of the scripted Grey Flannel with snowflake design from Wonderland Level 2 Paper pack
1 sheet of Tan scripted B&T from Notebook l Level 2 Paper pack
Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and Heart Shaped stamp from the bundled stamp set, Ink Pad & Markers-Dutch Blue, Gypsy, Grey Flannel, Grey Wool
Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel, Liquid Glass, Sponge Daubers
Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint, Creative Memories Corner Rounder
If interested in purchasing any of the CTMH items listed, let me know.
The technique above with the reversed snow flakes was done by taking the negative (the hollowed cut out) and sponge daubing the ink on the inside edges of the flake. Here I used two colors-CTMH's Gypsy & Dutch Blue.
I also did random areas on the Dutch Blue 12x12 Base in Gypsy and Grey Wool. The distressed edging is the Pearl Paint i swiped on with an old paint brush. The white cs has a grid on it by using the Glitz Gel.
The large snowflake is 2 layers of papers. 1st is the Grey Flannel cs, 2nd & Center is Grey B&T Script w/Snowflakes. Snowflake cut from Cricut Art Philosophy in reg cut and layer cut.
After adhering the layer to base, used Liquid Glass around the very edge, let dry for a few hours, came back and sponge daubed the blue ink over entire flake. The liquid glass resists the ink and leaves it clear to see the script underneath. Added the center piece with script side facing up after daubing a light coat of gypsy ink and edging it. Added Glitter Glitz Gel to the small tip openings.

Used Glitter Glitz Gel to some of the extra centers and place randomly on the layout.

Used the Art Philosophy Cricut bundle stamp set to stamp the heart
and pop dotted randomly on the page & stamped the image in a few areas on the layout. Wrote Sub-title and Title in 3 layered colors using the matching colors with the CTMH markers.

Thank you for stopping by. Would love to hear your comments. I truly enjoy reading what you think and what you liked best. I can even handle what you don't care for too.
Crafty comments are much appreciated...leave your blog site and I will be sure to come visit.
