Somewhat embarrassed......................

OK, Not my best by all means and normally I would not even share this. So, as I was chatting with a good friend and we were talking about how embarrassed we get when we attempt something and it doesn't go well, an idea came to me...there are many of us out here in the same boat. We get caught up on how perfect it should be rather than the thought, "we tried something new and accomplished it."

I am not a big coloring person nor am I very patient with my results. But, I have always admired those who can color well and wanted to work with alcohol markers. I love the versatility you have with many different venues in the paper crafting world using these. Now that I have some, after playing around with blending a few color combinations and watching a few videos, I attempted my first coloring. I used a drawing downloaded from Annie's Cuttlebug Cuties, proceeded to color (in the same way from watching the You Tube videos), and here's my first attempt.

Thankfully I wasn't planning to use this on anything, just playing with them. Just wanted those of you who don't think they can do something or don't want to share what they have worked on...don't over think it or judge yourself harshly. We are all at a learning point in some aspect. I may never get good at coloring and that's OK. Doesn't mean I won't do it from time to time. 

I really do need some practicing on all facets of the coloring world. I enjoyed it, It was fun watching the colors blend (or not). SO, even though I am embarrassed, I am sharing the outcome of my very first attempt. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Anyone have suggestions, or other videos I can watch and learn from, Please let me know.

Got my new goodies and ready to learn....

Oh Yes, The wonderful Blog Candy winnings came in today. Had to move my current Scrapbooking activity off to the side so I could dig in and find a temporary home for my goodies. (I think I'll just cover this coffee can-going green again-I'll let this be their home for now.)

Can't wait to play with them. I don't think I need to get any other colors until I learn to color with these beauties. Thanks Anna from Cuddlebug Cuties for such a generous giveaway and I loved the cute cutout note. So sweet... I am impressed. Got my color chart printed, need to dibble into shading with what I have. Then, got to decide what my project will be for the newest addition to my craft tools. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!!!
